In the 5 years since the establishment of the National Center for Clinical Research in Neurological Diseases, the number of projects and approved funding for projects undertaken by the company has steadily increased. A total of 70 research projects were established, and the accumulated funds exceeded RMB 2 billion. A total of 486 SCI papers were published, with a total impact factor of 1777.957 points, including 78 high-level dissertations (IF ≥5). We achieved 6 national science and technology awards, including the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for “innovative research achievements in the critical issue involving diagnosis, treatment and standardized prevention of high-risk non-disabling cerebrovascular disease” of Professor Wang Yongjun’s team in 2016, the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for “Establishment and promotion of the treatment of severe trauma in China” of Professor Liu Yunbai’s team in 2016, National Innovation Award for Professor Wang Yongjun in 2017, the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for “Critical Technology Innovation and Application of Diagnosis and Treatment of Gliomas” of Professor Jiang Tao’s team, the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for “Key technologies, systems and clinical applications of brain pacemakers” of Professor Zhang Jianguo’s team, and the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for “Treatment strategy and application of acoustic neuroma based on key techniques of auditory preservation and reconstruction” of Professor Zhang Liwei’s team. We achieved 4 provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards and 4 Social Power Construction Awards. We completed 55 monographs and applied for 14 innovations and patents.
